Wow, remember a really long time ago when I bemoaned my bad luck in being a huge Royals fan?

That article was written before I watched the Cleveland Cavaliers mail it in this evening.

That article was written before I realized maybe Kansas City doesn’t have it that bad.

The Royals won a ring in 1985.

Cleveland hasn’t won shit since 1964.

Cleveland is on a really depressing run.

The Browns were bad ass in the 80′s and couldn’t get it done?

Then the Indians had all the talent in the world and crapped the bed.

Now, they have an absolute freak of nature who should be completely unstoppable in the NBA and what is the result?

They are still losers.

Cleveland should strongly consider abandoning all hope.

I watched approximately 4 minutes of the game. The final 4 minutes.

No fouling? Have you seen Rondo shoot FT’s? I think I heard that the Celts had missed 6 in a row.

No effort? Lebron can’t make a few hard charging drives to the hoop and hope he gets the superstar call?

No hustle for shots? Williams really walked the ball up the court down 9 with 50 seconds to go?

I think many of our readers come here to see what kind of crazy thing I will say next, hoping they might catch me ranting about some idiot no one likes.

But I don’t have an outrageous point of view on this one.

I am kind of just sad.

It’s easy to shit on a person no one really likes, it comes naturally for me to rip Stephen Hawking.

But everyone likes Lebron, everyone would have had fun seeing the Big Shaqctus in the Finals one more time.

Well maybe not New England, but who cares, they have had more than their share of success.

What the fuck just happened?

I don’t care if Lebron’s elbow hurt, or Shaq is old, or Mike Brown is the worst coach in professional sports. How do you just quit in game 6 when your best player might have one foot out the door?

How do you look yourself in the mirror knowing that when the game ended you lost by under 10 and no one was even sweating anymore because you surrendered? How do you cash the game check knowing you just embarrassed everyone in the country in a red #23 jersey?

I think at this point, Lebron needs to stay to redeem himself.

But I am sure he won’t.

I lost a lot of respect for him tonight, and now I think he may just chase the money.

This performance was a joke. I can’t for the life of me remember an athlete of his caliber, on a stage like this… Being such a pussy.

I am of the belief that Lebron James is the best basketball player on the planet.

I am of the belief that when he is properly focused, the 4 other humans on the court with him are of little significance.

I am of the belief that if he had chosen to… Lebron could have willed the Cavaliers to a victory.

But he didn’t.

He chose to play like a bitch.

We ARE all witnesses. Witnesses to one of the most uninspired performances in major sports history.

I have already heard the broadcasters who routinely juggle his balls and applaud his every move making excuses for him. Lebron is so young, Lebron has plenty of time, Lebron is still the best he just wasn’t 100%.

It took Jordan awhile too, in fact when Mike was Lebrons age the Bulls were 47-35 and lost to the Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals. He had never been to the Finals, so I guess Lebron is ahead there.

But I grew up a Bulls fan, I grew up 2 hours south of Chicago. I grew up with Michael Jordan and the highlights, and the development of him as the G.O.A.T. I can tell you without hesitation that I never once felt or even heard anyone imply that he quit on a team.

Lebron, you just took a GIANT step back in my book young blood. I only saw 4 minutes, but it was long enough. I saw something I didn’t see in 15 years of watching Mike. You quit on a team and you quit on a city that desperately needs you. Cleveland adores Lebron, and Cleveland deserved better. I hope he is ashamed.

Sorry Cleveland, but as a wise man who had just tossed a quadriplegic in the ocean once said.

Looks like you’re fucked.
